Primary Colors
Value Scale
1. I found creating the value scale and color wheel to be interesting, I remember doing something simlar in one of my high school classes and it was enjoyable.
2. The color wheel was definitely more fun to create than the value scale just because I enjoy working with paint more than just pencil / charcoal.
3. I found the most important creation found in these studies was that the primary colors are not truly only red, blue and green but rather cyan, magenta and yellow.
4. The most important thing I learned from watching these videos was the importance of value in artwork and how it can effect the strength of a piece. I found these videos to be more like hands on tutorials considering I was watching them in order to learn what I had to do for the assignment which were different from the past few weeks.
Emily,
ReplyDeleteI agree, I also remember making one of these back in my high school day. I can recall that it used to help students understand the shading scale, which is used in all forms of art in one way or another. Well done!
